ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY

Safety and environment issues take precedent in the design of all BOWIN's gas space heaters. The new Federation fire incorporates:

• The patented Lo-Nox^TM gas burner, invented by BOWIN in 1990 to combat unacceptable levels of nitrogen dioxide and to meet stringent standards introduced by the Australian Gas Association (AGA) and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).
• An oxygen depletion sensor (ODS) automatically shuts off the appliance should the oxygen level or ventilation become inadequate.
• A thermo-electro-magnetic flame-failure-device stops the gas supply if, for any reason, the flame should go out.

ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY

• A gas input capacity of 17Mj/h (equivalent to a 4.7kW electric heater) combines the natural convection with the radiant output of the Lo-Nox^TM burner, the volcanic refactory logs and pine cones.
• Furthermore, this heater is also approved by AGA to be used as an unflued (unvented) gas heater, whereby 100% of the energy is converted to safe, clean heat, for room areas not less than 85m³.

EASY TO INSTALL

The newly designed Lo-Nox^TM Federation Fire will fit most federation fireplaces. To make sure, you can obtain an actual size "Fed. Fire Template" with measuring instructions for a pre-purchase check out.

In most cases, removing the ash grate, closing the flue damper, and the services of an authorised installer is all that is required to rekindle your fireside with living flame heat.
